"The photo I've added is a happy picture from an awful, and I mean dreadful, time. You see back at home I was surrounded by the fact I was weeks away from a court case in which I was to testify against my biological father for sexual abusing me between the ages of 4 - 14." -Anon

"The picture is of the first place I ever felt like home (even though this was my first time there) the magical and romantic Amsterdam. That trip was filled with coffee shops, staring dreamily at stunningly beautiful homes and buildings and the cat art gallery - which is now my favourite place on this wonderful god dam planet.

The trip was a spontaneous one, I just needed to run away from home for a little while, and my wonderful man gladly obliged.

You see back at home I was surrounded by the fact I was weeks away from a court case in which I was to testify against my biological father for sexual abusing me between the ages of 4 - 14. I was a mess.

I'm not close with any of my other family members and my mum had passed away 6 years prior.

If it wasn't for my man, the INCREDIBLE team at ARCH NE, and my amazing friends, I don't think I would of made it.

But yet, here I am, after the worst year of my whole life, coming face to face with the man who hurt me in the most awful of ways, getting that guilty verdict and seeing justice being served, not only for me but the countless others, seeing the heartbreak of other close friends being let down by the whole process, grieving my childhood, opening doors I didn't know existed, falling in love everyday, knowing the true power of the moon 📷 And yes its tough, boy oh boy you don't know the half of how tough is continues to be, but I'm still here, thankful for that same old moon and the breath in my lungs, day after day after day."
