"We had been married for three and a half years.

I was drinking a bottle of red wine every evening, my fridge was empty and my Dr was prescribing me however much diazepam I requested.

It took another year and a half after this, a move to another country and a lot of therapy for my to finally end that relationship.

In this picture I was desperate to prove myself to my husband. To prove that I was still desirable but I can definitely see the sadness in my own eyes.

Now I’m dating someone who complimented my outfit three times at dinner the other night.

It was an oversized turtleneck jumper. It’s orange."
