"I’m someone who is fearful of everything. My emotions are wild with every situation I’m put in. After years of pain and pushing for treatment and help, I discovered I have Borderline personality disorder. It all started with my upbringing. I grew up into a world where things were tough, but my family loved me. Suddenly, when my parents were fighting and getting a divorce, everything changed.
My mum became incredibly abusive towards me. I’d be physically beaten up, shouted at continuously and neglected.
My mother’s emotions would explode over small issues and all the anger and negativity got thrown onto me, which lead me to be kicked out constantly and neglected.
The worst part were the neglectful words she’d say. How I don’t deserve to live and should die. On the daily. Sadly it’s left me battling with awful thoughts and mental issues today. I document my recovery journey on Instagram to help remind myself that I’m not alone with my thoughts. That others out there feel the same way and we all support each other.
BPD is all of me, but it is a part of me I have to learn to accept."
